Pace is so important in sports. It’s not just how fast you can run but how you time yourself over distance; how you apply speed to swing a club or bat; how you shake off an opponent by changing pace or how you slingshot clear out of the slipstream and into the lead.
Some of the same ideas apply to business and branding but the pace of change in business has so radically evolved in recent times that it’s downright strange! Lead times on deals are typically longer as the terms of those deals consistently get shorter. And the expectation on delivery has shortened too! Get used to it because that’s the new normal.
